957RESOLUTION NO. 957 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO RAIL SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE WHEREAS,the Milwaukee Road Railroad has made application to be allowed to abandon its rail service to the area which includes the City of Moses Lake,Washington, and, WHEREAS,the loss of rail service will have a detrimental effect on businesses, including but not limited to industrial and agricultural concerns that rely on rail transportation in their businesses,and WHEREAS,the City of Moses Lake is concerned over the effect on the future of economic growth if rail service is not available to the area which includes the City of Moses Lake, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Moses Lake requests that all means be taken to assure a reliable rail company be given every opportunity to take over and continue to operate the rail services that Milwaukee Road will be abandoning.
