48RESOLUTION NO.48 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE PROVIDING FOR THE NUMBER OF TAXI-CABS TO BE LICENSED IN THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON,SETTING FORTH THE REASONS TTJEREFCRE,AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 39. WHEREAS,the City Council of the Town of Moses lake on the 27th day of April,1948,passed Ordinance #108,which is and Ordinance licensing and regulating taxi-cabs,and said Ordinance was published as required by lav/in the Columbia Basin Herald on the 30th day of *pril,1948. WHEREAS,said Ordinance #108 provides that the number of taxi-cabs licenses which may be issued and outstanding at any one time may be limited to such number as the City Council may, by Resolution, increase or decrease said number at such time or times as it shall find and determine that public convenience and necessity require the operation of a greater or lesser number of taxi-cabs provided that the number iray not be reduced so es to work a forfeiture of outstanding licenses or prevent the renewal thereof, NO'V THEREFORE PE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOOTS LAKE AS FOLLOWSJ That the number of licenses which may be issued by the City of Moses Lake is (5)five licenses,and that the City Council has found and determined that public conveinence and necessity only requires the operation of five (5) taxi-cabs within the City of Moses Lake. It being clearly understood that the mnmber or taxi-cabs allowed by this Resolution shall not work as a forfeiture to any outstanding licenses or prevent the renewal thereof.
