RESOLUTION #/O /
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Moses Lake passed a
resolution on June 22,1951-1-urging the retention of housing projects
Wash-I].5206 and Wash-V-[i51j-02 in behalf and for the use of the military
service,and
"WHEREAS,the San Francisco Office of the Public Housing Admini
stration have subsequently conveyed to the Mayor of the City of Moses
Lake by letter of July 12,1951-!-that the military services recently
reviewed all Lanham Act projects to determine desireability of re
tention under Pederal Control and that the Department of Defense
excluded projects Wash-1±5206 and Wash-V-i;51i02 from among those which
should be retained,and
"WHEREAS,in view of the fact that the Public Housing Commissioner
has determined that said projects are excepted from the provisions
of Section 313 of the Lanham Act as amended for a period of one year
from June 30,1951+,and
WHEREAS,the Public Housing Authority has instructed that no
new application for admission are to be accepted;that no applications
on hand receive any further processing; that effective immediately all
intake of tenants shall stop; that no later than October 1st,1951-!-
all tenants shall^e r;iven notices to vacate;that tenants remaining
after April 1955 shall be served eviction notices and that disposi
tion and removal of said projects shall be completed by June 30,1955,and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moses Lake,
Washington have approved and adopted an official plan as part of the
comprehensive plan,for the City of Moses Lake,all in accordance with
the recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Moses
Lake,and which plan now precribes the land occupied by said housing
projects for future recreational and cultural uses in the City of
Moses Lake,
HOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Moses Lake,Washington,that after the housing units
of housing projects Wash-Ii.5206 and Wash-V-I±51-L02 are removed and dis
position completed that the City of Moses Lake does hereby request
the Public Housing Commissioner to relinquish and transfer without

monetary consideration (except for the payment for any Federal lands
or interest therein) all right, title and interest of the United
States in and with respect to the land,utilities,pipe lines,ap
purtenances and one (1)non-dwelling structure entact known as the
Maintenance-Management and Community Hall,together with the personal
property,material,equipment and appurtenances held in connection
therewith.
