RESOLUTION NO.l±3
A Resolution fixing the time for hearing upon the Petition for Vacation
of an alley and providing for posting of notices as required by law,
WHEREAS,a Petition for the Vacation of an unnamed alley roadway as more
particularly hereinafter described has been made to the City Council of the City
of Moses Lake by more than two-thirds (2/3)of the private property owners abut
ting upon said alley and whereas the Petition has requested a public hearing be
had and that notices be issued for the said hearing, now,therefore,
The City Council of the City of Moses Lake does hereby resolve as follows:
That a public hearing be had upon the 13th day of November,at 8:30 PM.
or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard at the City Hall in the City of
Moses Lake upon the Petition for the vacation of the following described road
or street now in the City of Moses Lake, Grant County, to-wit:
An unnamed road situated within the City of Moses Lake, Grant County,
Washington,bounded on the North by the North line of Section 27,
Township 19 North, Range 28 E.W.M,,bounded on the westerly side by
the easterly line of Tracts 10 and 11 of Battery Orchard Tracts,
bounded on the easterly side by the westerly line of the right of
way of the Chicago,Milwaukee,St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Co.,'
all as shown on the plat of Battery °rchard Tracts recorded January
7,1914 in the office of the Auditor of Grant County.
That the Petition for the vacation is based upon the following reasons:
1. That the said road or street remains unused although dedicated in
plat filed in 1914.
2.That said road serves no use or purpose in the community and unnecessarily
limits the use of the abutted property.
3.That vacation of said road is necessary in order to obtain the greatest
economic benefit from the abutted property.
And the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notices required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake>Washington,and appro
ved by its Mayor this Q day of October,1956.
