153RESOLUTION NO.J*T3 WHEREAS,on February 28,1957 the City of Moses Lake suffered flood resulting from the storms of February 2U and 25 in the upper watershed of Crab Creek which caused a condition of emergency involving the health,welfiare,and safety of the citizens of the City of Moses Lake;and WHEREAS,said flood damaged the bridge,causeway,severed the domestic water- line,and severed the sewer siphon line; and WHEREAS,it is beyond local capabilities to cope with damages suffered and it is necessary in the interest of public health and safety to make application under provisions of United States Public Law No.875 for assistance from and through the Governor of the State of Washington to supplement local efforts; NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake that Marshall Burress,Mayor of the City of Moses Lake,be and hereby is authorized as the official representative of the City of Moses Lake to request and sign for such disaster aid as may be available under the provisions of United States Public Law No.875 and to execute all documents necessary and relating thereto;and IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper federal and state agencies re sponsible for the administration of United States Public Law No.875 are urged to give every consideration to the accompanying applications for disaster aid all in behalf of the health,welfare and safety of the people of Moses Lake.
