RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION of the City of Moses Lake,Washington,
declaring the intention of the City Council to
improve a certain area within the city by grading,
curbing,graveling,paving with asphaltic concrete,
constructing and installing sidewalks,side sewers
and sanitary sewer and water lines, and by doing
all work necessary in connection therewith and
fixing a time and date for the hearing thereon.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Moses Lake,Washington,as
follows:
Section 1.That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Moses Lake,Washington,to order the construction and in
stallation of the following described improvements within the city
together with all necessary appurtenances thereto and all work neces
sary in connection therewith:
A.Improving the following streets,avenues and drives by
grading,curbing,graveling,paving with asphaltic concrete and in
stalling sidewalks and side sewers:
1.Peninsula Drive from Marigold St. to Florence St.
2.Lakeside Drive from Sycamore St. to the North edge
of Giersdorf Addition and from the South edge of
Lycan Addition to the South edge of Battery Orchard
Tract 28.
3.Marigold St.from Peninsula Drive to Lakeside Drive.
4.Barbara St.from Peninsula Drive to Lakeside Drive.
5.Willow St.from Barbara St.to Linnea St.
6. Sycamore St.from Peninsula Drive to Park St.
7. Park St.from Sycamore St.to South edge of lot 4,
Lynn Addition #2.
8.Winona St.from Peninsula Drive to Lakeside Drive.
9.Orchard St.from Primary State Highway #18 to
Peninsula Drive.
10.Texas St.from Orchard St.to Russell St.
11.Russell St.from Texas St.to Peninsula Drive.
12.Seventh Ave.from Division St. to Chestnut St.
13.Chestnut St.from Seventh St. to 6th St.
14.Sixth St.from Chestnut to Primary State Highway #18.
15.Laurel Drive from Olive Avenue to Wheeler Road.
16.Riviera Avenue from Laurel Drive to Primary State
Highway #18.
17.Lark Avenue from Ironwood Drive to Primary State
Highway #18.
18. Ironwood Drive from Lark Avenue to Plum St.
19.Plum St.from Ironwood Drive to a point 200 feet
South of Plum St.
B.Improving the East side of Keifer Drive from Olive Avenue
to Lark Avenue by the installation of curbing.
C.Improving Laurel Drive from Wheeler Road to Olive Avenue
by the installation of an 8"sanitary sewer.
D.Improving the following avenues and drive by the installa
tion of a 6"water main:
1.Laurel Drive from Wheeler Road to Lark Avenue.
2.Riviera Avenue from Laurel Drive to Primary State
Highway #18.
3.Lark Avenue from Keifer Drive to Primary State
Highway #18.
Section 2.All persons who may desire to object thereto are
hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of
the City Council to be held in the Council chambers at the City Hall
at Moses Lake,Washington,at £o'clock P.M.,on the l(o't>
day of L ^^jUy\,1957*which time and place are hereby
fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvements
and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment
of said improvements.
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit
to the Council at or prior to the date fixed for such hearing a state
ment of the estimated cost and expense of such improvements,a statement
of the proportionate amount thereof which should be borne by the pro
perty within the proposed assessment district,a statement in detail of
the local improvement assessments outstanding and unpaid against the
property in the proposed district and a statement of the aggregate
actual valuation of the real estate,including 25$of the actual valu
ation of the improvements in the proposed district according to the
valuation last placed upon It for the purposes of general taxation,
together with a diagram or print showing thereon the lots,tracts,
parcels of land and other property which will be specially benefited
by said improvements,and the estimated amount of the cost and expense

of such improvements to be borne by each such lot, tract,parcel of land
or other property.
Section 4.The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice
of said hearing by publication of this resolution in at least two con
secutive issues of the official city newspaper,with the date of the
first publication to be at least fifteen days prior to the date of said
hearing,and to mail a notice of such hearing setting forth the nature
of the proposed improvements,the total estimated cost including the
amount thereof proposed to be borne by the city, the estimated bene
fits to the particular lot,tract,or parcel of land,and the time and
date of said hearing,at least fifteen days before the date thereof,
to each owner or reputed owner of any lot,tract,parcel of land, or
other property to be specially benefited by said improvements,at
the address shown on the tax rolls of the County Treasurer.
PASSED by the City Council of Moses Lake,Washington,and
approved by its Mayor this 25th day of June, 1957.
