WHEREAS the Milwaukee Railroad crosses Pelican Horn inside the City of
Moses Lake by way of a causeway and small bridge and;
VfHEREAS that causeway and bridge segregate aid separate a portion of
Moses Lake from the main part of the lake and:
WHEREAS the bridge is restricted to the extent that it is impossible
for pleasure boats to cross from one side to the other and;
WHEREAS the opening of the bridge is important to the circulation of
water in both directions to prevent the stagnation of the water in the upper end
Pelican Horn and;
WHEREAS the openings in the bridge is so restricted that the circulation
of water is irapared creating stagnation in the upper end of Pelican Horn now;
THEREFORE let it be resolved that the City Council of the City of Moses
Lake3 Washington they do hear by request from the Milwaukee Railroad that the
opening in the bridge of said causeway in their crossing'over Pelican Horn
should be maintained from time to time and kept clear and open so that the flc~v
of water in either direction is not restricted in any manner for the benefit
of circulation,,It is further resolved that in view of the fact that the lake
is of a very low level during the course of the winter that this is a very rood
time to accomplish this work for the benefit of Moses Lake0
