RESOLUTION No.368
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CONVEYANCE OF A
CLEAR ZONE EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE
BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
WHEREAS,Resolution No.238 provides that all grants of real estate or
any interest therein to the City of Moses Lake shall not be accepted until
a Resolution of Acceptance has been duly passed by the City Council,and
WHEREAS,the United States through its Bureau of Reclamation has entered
into a contract of sale with Harper B.Keebaugh,et ux,for a tract of land
described as Farm Unit 72,Irrigation Block 41,Columbia Basin Project,and
WHEREAS,Hugh J.English,the present holder of the purchasers'interest
in the abovesaid contract,has executed and delivered to the City of Moses
Lake a Clear Zone Easement,concerning the purchasers'interest in a portion
of said land,in connection with the Moses Lake Municipal Airport,and
WHEREAS,it is considered necessary that the United States as holder of
legal title to the following described property join in the conveyance of the
Clear Zone Easement:
Beginning at the East Quarter (i) corner of Section 13,
Township 19 North,Range 28 EWM;thence North 89°13'14"
West a distance of 420.89 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence South 5019'59"East a distance of 863.26 feet;thence
North 89o39'20"West a distance of 450.00 feet;thence North
6°05'14"East a distance of 865.26 feet;thence South 89°13'14"
East a distance of 278.01 feet to the true point of beginning
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Moses Lake ,Washington,that it approves the form of said easement and
authorizes and directs its City Manager to execute the said instrument.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake and APPROVED by
its Mayor this 13th day of July,1965.
