382RESOLUTION No.382 WHEREAS the City of Moses Lake,Washington,holds a long term lease on Cascade Valley Park and is desirous of developing said park for the use and recreation of the citizens of the City of Moses Lake and outlying areas,and WHEREAS the City of Moses Lake,Washington,is in need of funds to assist in the proper development of Cascade Valley Park,and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Moses Lake,Washington,has been informed that the City of Moses Lake,Washington,may be eligible and qualified to receive funds under the provisions of the Washington State Mrine Recreation Land Act and/or the U.S.Land and Water Conservation Act of 1965 for financial assistance in connection with the development of Cascade Valley Park for recreation purposes,and WHEREAS the total estimated cost of developing Cascade Valley Park is the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Thirty ($250,030.00)Dollars and application is being made for One Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Fifteen ($125,015.00)Dollars thereof under the U.S.Land and Water Conservation Act of 1965 and Sixty-two Thousan Five Hundred Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($62,507.50)thereof under the provisions of the Washington State Marine Recreation Land Act with the balance thereof to be paid by the City of Moses Lake, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that Clements Brigl,duly appointed and acting Park and Recreation Director of the City of Moses Lake,is authorized and directed to make application to the State of Washington Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for the sum of One Hundred Eighty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-two and 50/100 Dollars ($187,522.50)in accordance with the Washington State Marine Recreation Land Act and the U.S.Land and Water Conservation Act of 1965,to be used by the City of Moses Lake in partial payment of the total estimated cost of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Thirty Dollars ($250,030.00)to be expended in connection with the development of Cascade Valley Park aforesaid. Resolution No.382 (Continued) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Clemens Brigl,Park and Recreation Director for the City of Moses Lake,is authorized and directed to complete and forward required applications under the Washington State Marine Recreation Land Act and the U.S.Land and Water Conservation Act of 1965,to the State of Washington Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation.
