RESOLUTION
NO.A 11
"Vhereas the Town of Moses Lake,.'/ash.,applicant, applied to the United
States of America for the construction of a Sanitary Sewer System,in or
near the Town of Moses Lake,,7ash.,the application has been assigned
Project Washington 45-250:p
•Thereas,said application provided that the Town of Moses Lake would
Lease and operate the sanitary system,for the purpose for which it is to be
provided; and
V/hereas,the United States of America,through its Agent, Federal ".forks
Agency,now requests that the applicant,the Town of Moses Lake , make
known its intention in the matter of entering into a Lease agreement when and
if the sanitary sewer system is built.
Now,therefor,be it resolved that the Town of Moses Lake , will in the
manner prescribed by law, accomplish the following action when and if the
sanitary system is built as per application and Project No.Washington 45-250:
1.Enter into a suitable Lease agreement with the Government.
2.Under the Lease, to operate and maintain the system at our own
expense.
3. Will levy a monthly rental charge of not less than $1.00 per
month per residence,and business establishments in proportion.
4. Will negotiate and formally complete an agreement with Federal
Public Housing Authority for sewer use, and charge them not less
than .50 per month per occupied unit.
5..'/ill pay to the Government all revenues derived from the operation
of the Sewer in excess of reasonable operation and maintenance costs.
6. Agree to negotiate for purchase of the system during or at the
expiration of the Lease.
7.Will establish and maintain ordinances for the proper control and
regulation of the sewer system.
The foregoing Resolution was proposed by Commissioner G.0. Bedford ,
Seconded by Commissioner J.H.Fultz ,and adopted by the ~~
