A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE TOOT OF MOSES LAKE,
WASHINGTON,AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE TOW
CLERK TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE REAL ESTATE HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED AND SETTING FORTH THE REASONS THEREFORE.
WHEREAS,the Town of Moses Lake by Ordinance No*1009
passed and approved October 6,1947,provided for the construction
and equipping of a building to be used as a fire station and Jail
building and for certain Town administrative offices,and
WHEREAS,the present City Ball site,Lots 21,22,23
and 24,Block 26, of the Town of Moses Lake, Grant County,Wash
ington,are insufficient for the construction of the hereinbefore
proposed building, it is necessary that the City acquire a more
desirable site,which site is now owned by E.G.Sill and J*W.
Wheeler,which site the Town of Moses Lake can acquire for the
sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000*00)Dollars,and
WHEREAS,the Town of Moses Lake has not sufficient funds
to purchase said desired site,Notice of Sale of Town real estate
was heretobefore published on April 23 and 30, 1948,calling for
sealed bids to be received until 8s00 o'clock,P.M.,Tuesday,
May 4, 1948, at which time the Town of Moses Lake offered for
sale Lots 21,22,23 and 24,Block 26,Moses Lake, Grant County,
Washington,and
WHEREAS, on said date,May 4, 1948, the Town of Moses
Lake held a Special Council Meeting for the purpose of receiving
bids for the purchase of the present City Hall property,at
which time George Schuster submitted a bid in the sum of Ten
Thousand One Hundred Sixty-One and no/100 (#10,161.00)Dollars,
which bid was accompanied by his certified check in the amount of
Five Hundred and Eight and 05/100 (#508.05)Dollars,and

WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Moses Lake,
at said Special Meeting on the 4th day of May,1948,accepted
the bid of one,George Schuster.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Town of Moses Lake,as follows:
1.
That the Mayor and Town Clerk of the Town of Moses
Lake,Washington,are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a valid Warranty Deed to George Schuster and Maxine Schuster,
his wife,which Warranty Deed shall carry the following descrip
tion:
Lots 21, 22,23 and 24,Block 26,
Moses Lake,Grant County,Wash
ington.
2.
That upon the Mayor and Town Clerk executing said
Warranty Deed, the same shall be turned over to B. J. McLean,
City Attorney,who is authorized and directed to deliver said
Warranty Deed to the Grantees upon the Grantees of said Deed
executing and delivering to B. J. McLean, a certified check in
the amount of Nine Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-two and 95/100
(#9,652.95)Dollars,made payable to the Town of Moses Lake,
which check shall"be the balance due and owing upon the purchase
price of said property.
3.
The Town Council hereby authorizes the Town of Moses
Lake to pay the cost of the necessary revenue stamps to be
attached to said Deed before recording of the same.
Passed by the Council of the Town of Moses Lake and
approved by its Mayor this ///"%day of May, 1948.
